WHO AM I?

JC Lin, Business Owner, Property Investor & Power of Numbers Expert

My name is JC Lin, and I currently run a $20m business in the oil industry and have a property portfolio worth $40m. This gives me the freedom of time to focus on taking care of my health and spend quality time with my family. However, things were not always rosy.

I remember at the age of 23, my dad had to sell our house to pay off debts because his business failed, so every one of us moved to my brother’s place. Unfortunately, his home was not big enough to hold so many of us, but we had no choice. It was either live on top of each other, crammed into a box, or take our chances on the streets. Fortunately, my then girlfriend, graciously allowed me to move in with her and her parents. I found a job as a merchandiser as I wanted so badly to contribute a little to my girlfriend’s family and also give her a better life in the future. However, I earned a measly $1000/month and worked under a manager that criticised me constantly.

That was the lowest point in my life because everything seemed to be failing.

Fortunately, I made choices that completely turned my life around. I made important decisions for my career, business and family, which brought me the success I enjoy today. Some of these decisions seemed small and insignificant to me then, but were critically important to my success and happiness, and it was all because I applied the concepts in Power of Numbers.
